The Best Looks from Met Gala 2022

Fashion’s biggest night is here! And with the theme ‘Gilded Glamour’ – an ode to Metropolitan Museum’s exhibit, 'In America: An Anthology of Fashion' – we cannot wait to share with you what ensembles sweep across the red carpet.

This year the event was hosted by Regina King, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Lin-Manuel Miranda, all co-chairing the evening.

So, without further ado, let’s feast our eyes upon the ultimate night of glamour.

Ryan Reynold’s jaw wasn’t the only one that dropped when Blake Lively unveiled her Versace gown that transformed from copper to aqua blue – a nod to the Statue of Liberty.

Dove Cameron served in her first Met Gala appearance. Cameron wore a look by Iris van Herpen, inspired by “cosmic structures of spiral nebulas”. The silhouette effect was created by singular fine lines that were laser cut and stitched onto the template.

Rocking head-to-toe in gold, Megan Thee Stallion wore a gold ensemble by Moschino which included a metallic shawl made to resemble feathers.

One of the most unmissable outfits this year was from Swedish fashion star Fredrik Robertsson, who was mistaken for Jared Leto until Leto arrived later in Gucci. Robertsson wore a silver Iris van Herpen jumpsuit with silver structured wings that embodied futurism, sci-fi and industrialisation.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are always #couplegoals, and this time with their bump in tow. The couple wore matching black and white Louis Vuitton, however it was Turner’s glam that got us talking. Her signature red hair was softly waved into elegance. This look is super achievable with our 32mm Pro Waver. Just make sure to use the Mermade Mist for extra contour and shine.

Janelle Monáe’s ‘Gilded Glamour’ look from the future was it. Monáe told Vogue their goal was in the details; the bejewelled Ralph Lauren dress, the matching headpiece, bracelets and the complimenting jewel-encrusted manicure. Goal accomplished.

Our girl Khloe Kardashian turned into a golden goddess at her first Met Gala, and please pass the tissue box. Her gold column Moschino gown with black opera gloves and platinum sleek blonde hair was elegant, thoughtful and chic.

Okay, but did you see Lizzo play the flute on the red carpet? Go off Kween. She opted for a custom look from Thom Browne with her favourite accessory in hand – a golden flute.
